An entrepreneur at heart, Kelly Smith, a partner with Urban Real Estate, has always been one to seek out opportunities for clients they may otherwise not envision have potential. His philosophy is premised in listening to his clients, then walking them through the options they likely hadn’t considered, to help them achieve their short and long-term goals.
Kelly began his career in real estate in 2003 in land lease and billboard advertising before obtaining his Illinois real estate sales license in 2008. Kelly also has actively built his own investment portfolio, buying and renting properties since 2004.
This history and classics graduate from Wabash College in Indiana brings a unique background to the table. From a young age, Kelly was inquisitive, wanting to help people in their quest for success. In his early career, Kelly’s worked as a camp counselor and sports instructor to children, likely the audience that helped him best learn patience as a virtue, and how to keep expectations real, qualities his clients today rely on him most for.
Kelly is involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Greater Illinois-Chicago, and serves on the planning committee for its annual fundraiser, Aged to Perfection: Bourbon and Bacon, raising money and awareness for innovative research and clinical trials.
