Chicago, IL - September 26, 2013; Urban Real Estate is proud to announce that managing partner, Matthew Farrell, was inaugurated as the President of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® (CAR) Wednesday night, term to begin on October 1, 2013. Farrell becomes the 130th president of CAR, one of the youngest presidents in the history of the association. The 130th Inaugural Gala, held at the all-glass triangular luxury Swissôtel in Chicago’s New East Side neighborhood, saw over 700 industry leaders in attendance, including 40 agents and guests from Farrell’s own Urban Real Estate brokerage. Michael Emery, a partner at Urban Real Estate, presided over the installation and swearing in of the new directors for the board.
Alongside Farrell’s inauguration, Urban Real Estate’s own broker, Matt Silver, received the prestigious REALTOR® Achievement Award. This award is based on the outstanding contributions of a REALTOR® to the association, as well as to the Chicagoland real estate industry. In congratulating Silver, Farrell spoke towards his achievements, stating “Our future as an industry depends on the quality and caliber of the knowledge that we provide, and that goes not just for the best amongst us, but for all who are out transacting as REALTORS® in our industry.”
Farrell’s inauguration speech held the who’s who of Chicago’s real estate industry captivated with humorous anecdotes, words of wisdom, and insight into the future of real estate, not only in Chicago, but throughout the country. Urban Real Estate continues to be a leader in the industry, leveraging both longstanding methodologies and experience with the newest technologies available.
