Ah, the eternal question: what's my home worth?
Chicago Magazine (working together with Zillow) has published a nifty interactive map that allows you to plug in variables like the property class (condo, house, etc) and area (city neighborhood or suburb).
They also report at some length on the comparative increase/decrease in home values and listing prices over the last ten years and peer into their crystal balls to predict increases over the next year.
Their conclusion: sellers should go ahead and list; prices aren't likely to continue the rapid ascent of the last few years. For buyers? It might not seem or feel like it, but they have time on their side and their choices will likely increase over the next year or two.
