The most recent figures paint a familiar picture of the best-selling communities in and outside of Chicago for the month of February.
In the city, the Near North Side topped the list with 130 sales, followed by Lincoln Park with 71 and West Town with 66.
When you remove condos, the picture changes and the top-selling neighborhoods become Ashburn with 47, Garfield Park with 26 and Portage Park with 25.
Heading over to the suburbs, Aurora led with 125 sales, followed by Naperville with 106 and Joliet with 92.

In January cash sales accounted for 38.9 percent of total homes sales, still well above the pre-crisis average of 24 but down from 41.4 percent in 2014.

CoreLogic predicts that, if the current rate of decline continues, cash sales as a percentage of the total market should drop back to around 25 percent in mid-2018.
