A developer has announced a plan to turn a defunct commercial building and parking lot into condos in Lake View.
Developer David Trandel plans to preserve the existing building on the site at the corner of Lincoln, Southport and Wellington, with its ornate terra cotta exterior, and gut the interior and build out 10 apartments and retail inside the building and possibly on the vacant parking lot that neighbors it.
Tentatively, rents will be $2,500 per month for a one bedroom and $3,300 per month for a two bedroom unit.
