Chicago Home Price Appreciation 2nd In Nation

The Chicago metro area had the second highest home price growth in the country between March and April of this year according to the Case-Shiller Home Price Index.

Prices during that period grew by 2 percent, just below the 2.1 percent rate in Seattle and well above most other major metros.

Year-over-year, Chicago's figure was lower at 3.1 percent.
