Gene joins us as a lifelong Chicagoan passionate about serving the Bronzeville, Hyde Park, and Kenwood communities, as well as the many neighborhoods on the city’s south side. With a desire to help bridge homeownership and affordable housing needs, Gene hopes to bring Urban’s top-notch service to often otherwise underserved communities. Teaching prospective homeowners how to have their “financial house” in order, and helping them achieve successful buying opportunities, remain pinnacle to working with future buyers. In addition, helping buyers navigate their way through the various gentrified communities, and finding the “fit” right for their needs, is a challenge Gene hopes to help new residents take on. The opportunity to engage investors in realizing the existing and untapped market of the south side is a task few can take on quite like this natural ambassador.
Gene’s eclectic professional background makes for a perfect parlay into the real estate industry. For nearly 20 years, Gene sold high-end outdoor furniture to luxury clients – furnishing estates, and residential and commercial spaces of all sizes, creating a custom experience for each client. An entrepreneur at his core, Gene has embarked rarely turned away new ventures as a small business owner. His years of contacts and networking have also led to his successful development as a local personality, hired often for his voiceover work for radio and Web commercials.
With his wife and young son, Gene and his family are proud of their south side roots, and look forward to helping new and existing residents make Chicago their home.
