The latest numbers are in and three familiar neighborhoods once again lead the city in total number of sales.
In the month of August, the Near North Side saw a 3 percent year-over-year increase in sales to a total of 274. Following in second place was West Town, with a 7.23 percent increase in sales to 178, and Lincoln Park was in third, with a 4 percent decline to a total of 168.
In single family homes the Northwest Side reigned supreme. Norwood Park was in first, seeing a 9.09 percent increase to 48 sales. Following in second was Portage Park with a 9.52 percent increase to 46 sales. The surprise was Dunning, which, with 44 sales, saw a 37.5 percent year-over-year increase.
