Chicago's Urban Real Estate Supports Union League Boys & Girls Clubs at its Second Holiday Benefit

The Urban Real Estate (Urban) annual holiday party for Urban brokers, friends, and clients was for its second year a benefit, supporting the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs (ULBGC). With more than 120 guests in attendance, Urban Real Estate presented a check for more than $17,000.

The New Eastside-based brokerage held its holiday benefit earlier this month at the Union League Club of Chicago, making a contribution on behalf of its attendees. Guests also had the opportunity to make a gift of their own.

Throughout the year, the ULBGC has various needs it raises money for. At the Urban Holiday Benefit, guests were asked to "Buy a Bow" – each bow was $20, flashing bows were $100, and represented a contribution to support its Great Englewood Futures Start Here program.

According to its website, in 2015 the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs (ULBGC) began serving 100 youth in grades 3-6 at its Stagg Elementary Englewood Club, located at 75th and Morgan Street in the Englewood neighborhood. Youth residing in the Englewood community need more hope and more opportunities to build a bright future, and funding this goal brings more resources to one of Chicago's most neediest neighborhoods for youth and teens in grades 1-12.

"The Union League Boys & Girls Clubs is invaluable to the communities it serves. Especially today, and especially in Englewood, if there is any project we would and will continue to support, it is bringing trained educators, educational development, and character-building to the youth of Englewood," says Matt Farrell, managing partner, Urban Real Estate, and a trustee of the ULGBC.

ULBGC currently serves more than 13,200 enrolled members between the ages of 6 and 18 at eight locations. "The holidays are a wonderful time to support programs like these, but the reality is, they need our support year-round, as the real season of giving is 365 days a year," adds Michael Emery, senior partner with Urban.

Urban Real Estate contributes to local causes throughout the year, and supports its brokers in endeavors near and dear to them. For more visit us at UrbanRealEstate.com.
