The booming West Loop could soon see the construction of two twin condo buildings if neighbors decide in favor of supporting the project.
The buildings, designed by Booth Hanson and proposed for 1111 W. Washington Blvd. and 19 N. May St. would rise 9 stories and contain a combined total of 56 condos near the soon-to-be headquarters for McDonald's...
The latest proposal for the booming West Loop will bring another 20 high-end condos to the neighborhood.
A newly issued permit would allow construction to begin on the six-story "Residences on Racine". It's expected that the building will cost $5.6 million to build and will include parking for each unit. Prices so far are ranging from the mid-$500,000s to the high $800,000s.

The redevelopment of the Old Main Post Office in the West Loop, a long-cherished dream of city planners, is finally moving forward.
After being sold earlier this year to 601W Companies, they're beginning a $500 million overhaul of the Art Deco gem. It will include, initially, a restored lobby, new amenities like a three-acre rooftop park and fitness center, outdoor cafes and a riverwalk.

A townhouse development under construction in the West Loop has received a slight makeover to make the final buildings more streamlined and modern as they move toward sales.
The townhouse units, located at 20 N. Loomis, will be geared toward the high end of the market clocking in at just over 5,000 square feet and an asking price of just over $2 million.

A new West Loop rental tower is heading to the Chicago Plan Commission this month for its first approvals.
The tower, proposed for 346-358 N. Union St. and 347-357 N. Halsted St. in the Fulton Market area would bring 373 new rental units and top out at 405-feet.
The development also includes a new public dog park. It heads to the Plan Commission March. 17.
