Congratulations to the newly installed Illinois REALTORS® Leadership Team! The 2023 officers include - President-Elect Matt Silver REALTOR®.

Matt is a partner and senior broker with Corcoran Urban Real Estate.


Matt Silver, C2EX, CRS, ePRO, and GRI, began his real estate career in 1998. He is a member of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and has served on its Board of Directors. He is a past president of CAR, was named its 2018 REALTOR® of the Year, and received its 2013 REALTOR® Achievement Award. He serves on CAR’s Diversity, Audit, and Professional Standards committees.

At the state level, Silver is a member of the Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors and has chaired the REALTORS® Political Involvement Working Group, the Education Working Group, the Professional Standards Committee, and the Grievance Committee. In 2022, chaired the Finance Committee. He is the Federal Political Coordinator for U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider of the 10th District. He has led the REALTORS® Institute Working Group, REALTORS® Political Involvement Working Group, and has served on the Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF) Board of Directors. He served as 2015 REEF president and was a dean of the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI).

Silver is a supporter of REALTOR® political advocacy and is a “Golden R-President’s Circle” investor in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC).

He has earned several industry designations and endorsements, including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI), ePRO certification, and the NAR Commitment to Excellence C2EX endorsement.

In his community, Silver serves on the Board of Directors for the True Value Boys & Girls Clubs in the Little Village neighborhood, he’s an ambassador for All Chicago: Making homelessness history, a local organization with a mission to end homelessness. Silver also serves on Pi Kappa Phi’s National Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

Silver earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. He lives in Chicago with his 21-year-old son, Grant, who is a recent graduate of Indiana University.
