A developer has proposed a new 60-unit development for an Uptown site that includes a vacant lot and former auto garage.
Peerless Development is behind the proposal for 4906-18 N. Clark St. It will feature a mix of apartments from 4 bedrooms down to studios and is designed by Axios Architects.
The developers are hoping to break ground in the spring of next year and see the project completed by spring of 2019.

A new development proposed last year for Uptown has been redesigned and recently won aldermanic approval.
The plan will replace a car wash at 6145 N. Broadway with a new six-story mixed-use building with first floor retail and a total of 105 new apartments, most of which will be one bedrooms and studios. It was originally designed as a 187-unit building that was more than 80 percent studios...
Another new residential development may be coming to Uptown.
Developers SNS Realty Group have proposed a townhouse development for an area near Clark and Lawrence, just north of Chase Park. Designed by Axios Architects, it would include 24 residences accessed through an alleyway.
The development would also demolish two older buildings at 4740 N. Clark occupied by Community Counseling Centers of Chicago.
